Recap of progress

I feel unmotivated and like there is not alot of progress going on lately. Mostly due to the fact that now it's coming down to the home stretch of the details.. and because they are so tiny it just feels like nothing is getting done. So in an effort to motivate myself (and hopefully some comments on the blog) I'm trying to get out of my funk. 

Let's recap the office/craft room progress:

This was during the walk through of the house. It's a tricky space with a non-centered-on-the-wall window, 2 doors to enter-- 1 being from the foyer and 1 from the hallway, and a closet. Oh and let's not fail to mention the hideous wood paneling and the cane/wood ceiling fan! Oh and for heaven's sake, it's the smallest out of 3 bedrooms and stained so dark it nearly felt like a CLOSET.

Board by board, nail by nail the paneling was taken down. The batch was sold on Craigslist. I was careful to not destroy too much of it. My friend/co-worker (who was a former electrician) pulled brand new wiring and added three additional outlets.

 

Another friend helped to lift the drywall as I hurried to sink screws. Finally it was taped, mudded and sanded.
